This movie is the heartwarming story of a man from a tough environment that becomes a man and an nfl player. Overall the movie was very good in an trying to win awards kind off way but, after seeing comments from the actual man about the movies inaccuraces I have to be against this movie. He said,” This movie makes it look like I didn’t know how to play football, i’ve been playing since I was eight.”

Mininova.org has offically gone legit after a court ruling forcing them to stop the movement of copyrighted files.

This news leaves only one major torrent tracker site alive, isohunt.org, they are currently battling in Canadian court over there site.

This is all bad news for torrent users everywhere and seems to be ushering in the end of torrent file sharing.

2012

I’ve really hated the whole world coming to an end in 2012 because the Mayans said so thing so coming into this movie I didn’t expect much…. I was correct this movie has great cgi and thats about it. The acting is for the most part bad and the storyline makes little to know sense. John Cusack stars as a dad trying to save his children and ex-wife during an apocalypse. Cusack gets amazingly lucky as he fights through earthquakes, volcanos, and tsunamis.

The Pirate Bay has decided to stop using torrents in the near future and begin using magnet links. Torrents must have a tracker which the Bay provides but, will be stopping soon due to legal obligations. Magnet links directly connect you to a decentralized tracker.

Bob Saget Live – That Shit Ain’t Right

Bob Saget best known for his role in Full House and hosting America’s Funniest Home Videos is back but, no doing stand-up. This is a Bob Saget most people haven’t seen before and he is one of the most dirty stand-up I have ever heard. He discusses his family, time on full house, and even does a singing number to end the show.

Surrogates

This film revolves around the mysterious murder of a college student linked to the man who helped create a high-tech surrogate phenomenon that allows people to purchase unflawed robotic versions of themselves. Starring Bruce Willis, the film is somewhat similar to blade runner with robots that look indistinguishable from humans. With a big twist ending that many will not see coming as its best part overall the film lacks in several areas.

This movie is one of the most hyped movies in recent years. It follows a young couple who are having unusual things happen in there home. It is shot in a Blair Witch style i.e. shaky cam but, they minimized the shakiness by giving the couple a steady-cam holder. The movie was filmed on a 15 thousand dollar budget which is a key factor in why I liked this movie. Overall the movie isn’t very scary or great but, for only 15 grand they did a hell of a job.\
BTW: The version of the film available for download has some different scenes and a different ending than the theatrical version.

The Pirate Bay lost another court battle, this one in the Netherlands. A dutch court has ordered the bay to make there sight inaccessible in the Netherlands or face fines up to 6 million euro (9 million U.S.).

The Taking Of Pelham 123

This movie is a remake of the 1974 Film and novel by Morton Freedgood. The movie follows Walter Garber (Denzel Washington), a subway dispatcher, who must deal with the hijacking of a subway train. The train was hijacked by Ryder (John Travolta) in hopes of getting money. Overall the movie is good in an action sense but, not a masterpeice. It also seemed very perdictable as to the outcome. However, on a side note Travolta is so good as a bad guy, I hope to see him continue in roles similar to this.

The Pirate Bay continues to fight for there rights. In Norway, court procedings began to block the site from use in the country. This would mark another country blocking the torrent giant including: Italy and Denmark.

Zombieland

I was pleasantly surprised with this one, 6 people fight to survive a zombie apocalypse. Sounds like the same old story but, this movie is different. It focuses more on the “little things” and comedy of the zombies. Woody Harleson runs away with the movie with his usual character Tallahassee.

Tucker Max’s I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell

Recently a story from the book has been created into a very bad movie but, the book contains over 30 true stories from the world of Tucker Max. “A rude, crude, and all around bad person” his words not mine. His alcohol and sex related adventures have reached legend status at many colleges.

Star Trek

Star Trek: I was pleasantly surprised with this movie, I didn’t expect much. I was bored with previous Star Trek movies but, this ones different. It’s a reboot of the series directed by Lost producer J.J. Abrams. The movie follows an alternate reality to the original series done by using time travel paradoxes. Sounds complicated right?

Transformers 2

Transformers 2: I had already saw this one in theaters and it wasn’t as good on the small screen. In fact with the exception of Megan Fox it was a jumbled mess of bad dialogue and explosions but, being male it was still cool just because the action and explosions.

How to spot a fake

One problem with the inexperienced user in torrents is that they are at risk in infecting there computer with spy-ware and virus’ due to downloading fake files. Fake files are misrepresented to be something they are not to trick the user. This link will explain in depth how to spot the fakes.

In this blog I will be reviewing various movies from different bitorrent web sites, and linking to various torrents and discussing current events in file sharing as well as pop culture. Many of the files I link to may not be technically legal so, do so at your own discretion. Also to download any thing you must use this program utorrent.

Legality

As previously mentioned there is questions about the downloading of shared files. It is perfectly legal for me to post links to various torrents, it is legal for the sites to host the torrent file, however it is illegal to download a copyrighted files without pays a royality to the producer. Only 2 people have gone to trial in the U.S. over file sharing, Joel Tenenbaum was ordered to pay $675,000 for having 31 songs downloaded (On a funny side note a website took the songs and put them in one file).  I personally know over 100 people with at least 100 times as many songs as this. So with that i’m telling you to do what you want at your own risk. In my next post, I will tell how  to see if  a file is fake on torrent sites.
